Jaktim siapkan SOP dan instruksi khusus kelola sampah perkantoran

Jakarta Timur government has initiated stricter waste management protocols in office environments by creating standard operational procedures (SOP) and planning specialized instructions for civil servants. The initiative aims to systematically reduce waste volume at its origin, particularly within the mayor’s office.

“The distribution of the waste management SOP will ensure that all waste is separated at the source, from the office spaces to the waste collectors and finally to the TPST,” explained Munjirin, the mayor of Jakarta Timur, during a press briefing in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Penguatan Sistem Pengelolaan Sampah

Munjirin emphasized that the effort to improve waste management extends beyond awareness campaigns, incorporating binding technical regulations for all employees. The SOP will outline precise steps for waste handling, starting from individual workspaces and proceeding to integrated waste processing facilities (TPST).

“After meetings, staff are required to collect their own waste into designated bins categorized by type,” said Munjirin.

Upaya Mengurangi Sampah Plastik

One of the key measures is mandating the use of personal water bottles or tumblers to cut down on single-use plastic waste. This policy is intended to foster a new culture of discipline and responsibility among government workers. The city is also collaborating with Baznas Bazis Jakarta Timur to provide supporting facilities, such as sorted waste bins, which are expected to be available in all offices within a week. Munjirin stated, “I ask that this week be used for consolidating the preparation of infrastructure, then we will proceed with implementation.”

Sosialisasi dan Partisipasi ASN

Alongside the SOP, the city will issue specific guidelines to regulate the behavior of civil servants (ASN) in minimizing waste. These guidelines will be supported by a recent workshop attended by 100 participants, including ASN and PJLP (Penyedia Jasa Lainnya Perorangan), as well as officials like Asisten Perekonomian dan Pembangunan Jakarta Timur, Fauzi, and Kepala Suku Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Jakarta Timur, Julius Monangta. The goal is to establish a more organized, measurable, and sustainable waste management system, serving as a model for other institutions and the broader public.
